The sun shone bright for a very brief moment in time. I definitely #smiledontheinside when I had to squint with the sun streaming in through the kitchen window when I lifted the blind. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long. Within an hour it was back to rain and more rain. Again.

Gloomy day outside aside, I #smiledontheinside with an early phone call from a vet asking me about recruitment marketing. Given we’re both on the same page when it comes to the power of networking, we had a good chat. It’d be great if his clinic runs with our exclusive REAL+STORY recruitment marketing program – because it works and, right now, his clinic needs something that works! My fingers and toes are crossed and I’m trying not to get my hopes up.

12 Step Repeats = 1,004 steps

Although I’m still to make up my mind about a gym – or not – I did decide that this week I’d climb steps twice: Tuesday and Thursday @ 12x each day = 2,000 steps total.

Really, today, there was no good time weather-wise to go out. Squally heavy showers were sprinkled on the rain radar with barely an hour of clear skies in between downpours. I was psyched up to get wet.

It turns out I only had to carry my raincoat for two sets of steps – part way up the second climb the rain started up again. That lasted until about repeat #6. And then, with about 100m to my car it absolutely chucked it down (again). I got drenched.

But I did it – I PBd with a 12-repeat day – 1,004 steps. Yessss! #smilingontheinside #accomplishment #yesevenintherain

Protea No. 2

The protea bud I was looking forward to taking progressive photos of had either been picked or fallen off. In its place was nothing but the dead end of where it once was. So here we go again – let’s see how long this bud lasts and how far I can capture its blooming journey.
