There’s something invigorating walking on a chilly morning when your breath vaporises with each step… when you stride out as a way to warm up … when you pull your hands back up into your sleeves to keep them warm.

Walking on those types of mornings is a wonderful feeling. This morning was one of those days. #smilingontheinside

No frost – yet!

I was half expecting Jack Frost to have paid an overnight visit. The sky was clear and the temperatures are falling because it’s that time of the year.

Over the weekend Alan sent me a text. I got it after I’d just finished washing the floors. All the windows and doors were open, air-drying… there was a bit of a stiff and chilly sou’easter keeping the temperature down, and although warm from the exertion, I couldn’t say it was warm outside at 15oC.

Alan’s text was about him being at the beach in 30oC weather. The accompanying photo was picture-postcard-perfect. My Hero doesn’t usually feel the cold. Not like I do. It’s going to be interesting to see whether he notices the sudden contrast when he gets back home. Which is this week. Yayyy!
