Full Blood Moon – Lunar Eclipse

I’m sure there’ll be lots (and lots and LOTS!) of absolutely spectacular photos about the Blood Moon and Lunar Eclipse. Photos farrrr superior and impressive than my attempt here.
Last night Alan and I got to witness the lunar eclipse of a blood moon – wow!
We watched it slowly disappear. Actually, it wasn’t that slow all things considered.
I’m so pleased the sky was relatively clear so we could witness it.
When there’s a full moon – in clear skies – our little home gets well and truly lit up. We have these humungous floor to ceiling windows. The curtains don’t go all the way to the ceiling, so there’s a reasonable sized wedge of glass above the curtains and man! on a clear night with a full moon – wow!
I just love that I can watch the full moon rise in the east – into our kitchen and dining room – and shine bright. Sometimes the moon is oh-so-big it’s like I can almost reach out and touch it.
It wasn’t like that last night though – it was just at ‘regular moon height’.
If the skies stay clear through the night, we then have the moon shining into the bedroom.
Here’s to full moons…
Here’s to being able to see them…
Here’s to last night’s lunar eclipse.
